Zipline

Has anyone done the zipline in Maui. How long does it take and is it fun or just plain scarey? Thanks

We did the zipline in Oct. 2005. It was a ton of fun! let someone else go first on the first zip, and you won't be scared anymore. There were 60-year-old women in our group, and they did it!

I went ziplining here in Michigan last fall and had a blast - I didn't think it was scary at all. I don't know how much scarier it might be in Maui, but the one I did was fairly long and pretty high up, and I loved every minute of it!

That is what inspired me to book the ziplining adventure on Maui. We will be there in April, and I got on-line last night to book it. I checked for all of the days we will be there, and could not get the time I wanted on any of the days. I did end getting a time, but it was pretty much my last choice. So if you decide to book, make sure you do it early! I heard that advice before, but didn't think I would run into trouble 7 weeks before the trip.

emmaandamber,

where in Michigan did you zipline? Was it a treetop eco-type tour or just a few lines at amusement park type place?

I did it a camp I was at with my class (I'm a teacher). Nothing close to what it would be like in Maui, but it was still in a nice woodsy area. We were about 50 feet in the air and traveled about 100 yards over a creek. I thought it was so much fun, and this is from a person that truly freaked out on the high ropes course, only 20 feet in the air. As soon as I got off the zipline, I knew I was going to book the trip in Maui!
