Hi - We were in Zion in April which was a very comfortable time to hike there. If you have to chose between Angel's Landing and Observation Point, I would pick Observation Point. Angel's Landing is a great hike and we loved it. It does have a more "scary" part at the end and, I guess, a feeling of adventure. BUT - we found Observation Point to have more variety, less crowds, and, certainly just as good views. It was longer, but we like that. It was our favorite hike at Zion. (of course, we didn't get to do the Narrows - too wet). Can't lose with either hike. sue

Does Observation Point have better views because it is higher? I would rather do Angel's Landing because it is shorter but will start it early in the morning to avoid the crowds.

Do you think I can do all these hikes in two days, Canyon Overlook, The Narrow's to Orderville Canyon, Angel's Landing, Weeping Rock, and all the Emerald Pools? I cut Watchman and Hidden Canyon unless for some reason I have time. Are these good ones to cut?

Those are good ones to cut. Weeping Rock isn't a hike by any stretch of the imagination, btw-you can just run up from the parking lot and look at it. If you're running short of time, I'd skip that too.
You can do those others in two days by doing one longer (Angel's and Narrows) and one shorter (the Pools and the Overlook) each day.

I think I will be fine, we are fast hikers but Angel's Landing will be a challange. I can't miss Weeping Rock, it is very short and is paved, I don't which day I will do that one, but I think I will have time. How long does the narrows to Orderville Canyon take from the beginning of the paved trail? It is only 3 miles round trip of hiking in the water.

Also, isn't there a phone number you can call to get info on the flash flood danger in the narrows?

Has anybody ever done the horseback ride in Zion, the Sand Bench Trail Ride or the Virgin River Ride? Are they worth doing?

I've ridden in Zion and we went down canyon after crossing the river. It was about a 2 hour ride. Pleasant, but not very spectacular.

If you want to ride, I would do it at Bryce instead.

I'm doing the 1/2 mule trip at Bryce. Did you do the short one or the long one at Zion?
