Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument is HUGH. If you don't have a lot of time, all you are going to be doing is driving though it. If you aren't driving on Hwy 89 or Hwy 12 then a lot of it requires driving on dirt roads and most rental companies don't allow that. Keep in mind that there isn't a lot of cell phone coverage EVEN on the main highways let alone dirt roads. You will see some of it and the Vermillion Cliffs if you drive between Bryce and Page.

We are planning to stay on main roads. We are still in early planning stages but wAnted to get basic plan so we could book places to stay. We have done that and now will look at maps and guidebooks and plan more exactly over the next few months. Thanks

Don't forget to check out Horseshoe Bend in Page as well. Antelope Canyon is definitely worth going to see, make sure to get a midday tour, somewhere between 11am and 1pm. Just curious, what are your hiking plans in Zion? I visited last summer in July, and am planning to go again in April this year.
