Zion, Bryce, Antelope and Grand Canyon
 

Hi guys, I would like your suggestions to see most important places outskirts of vegas. I will have almost 3 days (apart from Vegas stay of 3 days) and would like to drive around and catch my flight back from Vegas. I have heard about valley of fire, Zion,Bryce, antelope canyon, grand canyon and Hoover dam. Please suggest an itinerary by which we can make use of this time. Please suggest us driving routes, places of stay etc. We will be traveling with a 5 yr old and not a big fan of hiking more than a mile.

What time of year?

Almost 3 days is enough to do quick visits to Valley of Fire, Zion and Bryce. Not enough time to add in Hoover and GC.

Valley of fire is a drive by enroute to Zion. Zion, I recommend you stay in the town of Springdale, UT. Bryce, stay in the park at Bryce Lodge.

You could stay at Bryce Zion inn in hatch utah. It is centrally located between Bryce and Zion.

with only 3 days, I would recommend just doing Bryce and Zion. Be sure to get a flight that gets you into Las Vegas early - that will allow you to head straight to Zion NP as its only a 2.5 hour drive. I'd suggest you stay in the town of Springdale which has many nice lodging and dining options. Spend the rest of your first day and the second day exploring Zion, then head to Bryce on day 3. Bryce is only 86 miles from Zion and the drive out of Zion is spectacular.

In Bryce, try to get a room or cabin in the park - this will save you plenty of time and provide easy access to the rim of the canyon and other trails. You should head down the Navajo-Queens Garden trail to check out the incredible beauty below the rim. Be sure to call for reservations in Bryce - they get lots of cancellations that do not show up online. If you cannot find lodging in the park, I suggest staying at Bryce Canyon Pines which is outside the park - less than a 10 minute drive to the park. They have a great onsite restaurant too.

If you have a flight out of Las Vegas that is later in the day, you might have time to check out Valley of Fire on your way back to LV. After visiting Bryce and Zion, Valley of Fire will not "wow" you much but there are some really cool petroglyphs and the rock colors are very vibrant.

Enjoy your trip. You will likely love it and want to plan a longer visit to do the Grand Circle to include Grand Canyon, Moab (Arches and Canyonlands), Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase Escalante, etc... There is so much to see in southern Utah. Enjoy!

Once you cross the bridge, there are buses that take you thru out Zion and you can jump on and off at your leisure. The lodges inside the parks do not have TV's and I think with a little one that tv comes in handy.
