Zion, Bryce and Grand Canyon

We're considering a trip to Zion and Bryce, and possibly Grand Canyon late Feb, early March. I realize it's still winter and it could be quite cold, but it's my son's senior year spring break week and this is where he really wants to go. Should we reconsider this idea? Thoughts from folks who have visited these parks during this time of year are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I was there in May. It was pleasant. We were staying in a motor home.

Lat Feb / early March would be ok if you are not camping. For me, I'm a sun lover, so I'd pass. However, I've been there, done that already.

Can you wait until early June when he is out of school? Otherwise, go for it. It will be a rushed trip and you will need to secure accommodations now.

We've been to these parks in Feb. and were very lucky that it didn't snow at all on the trip. You have to go to the south rim of GC because north rim will be closed for the winter. GC was comfortable, 50s light jacket weather, as was Zion. Bryce had snow on the trails and was cold, but the roads were dry and the overlooks were wonderful.

That said, we also have been to GC in April when it snowed on the way in.

We've seen a lot of snow in Zion Canyon in February. We've seen a lot of snow in Flagstaff in early March.

The hikes in Zion will more than likely be closed due to snow and ice. Even part of the easy 2 mile Riverside Walk was closed when we were there in Feb. So was the lower Emerald Pools so that mean you couldn't get to the upper pools either.

The trails in Bryce will be closed but you could snow shoe.

If you could wait until another break later in the school year you would be so much better off.
