Merrilee, We love the Paris theatre and that was one of the first cinemas I went to upon arrival in NYC..so many years ago!
One year we had a big snowstorm and the Yankee introduced me (after walking through blocks and blocks of snow) to Rumplemeyers and their hot chocolate:) Funny how many memories are triggered by food and scent~ |
Missjenna, I think your comment about seeing a drunk "and it wasn't St. Patrick's day" makes me bristle a little bit. I find it insulting to Irish. |
Scarlett, thank you! I haven't thought about Rumpelmayer's in years! In the Hotel St. Moritz on Central Park South. All those stuffed animals and the fountain. Mom took me there a few times on special occasions. Has anyone been there recently and if so, has it changed much?

I was just walking in Times Square in February when I slipped and broke my hip on a puddle of frozen urine. that's all....I promise |
Jacko, my sister in law is irish. It was not meant as a racial comment about drunks and the Irish.
I mentioned that it wasn't St. Patrick's Day because the guy was dressed as a leprachaun. Only on St. Patrick's or Halloween would that costume make sense. |
