your favorite waterfront restuarants within one hour williamsburg,va?

I hope some locals or frequent travellers can steer me to some nice waterfront eateries in the williamsburg area.

although it will be hot, i do like sitting out on patios looking at the water, be it a lake or sea.

thanks in advance.

Rivers Inn in Gloucester Point.
Kingsmill Marina.
There is one in Charles City County I haven't tried. I'll try to get the name.
Fox & Hound in Providence Forge.

Definitely off the beaten track but great local place (and I think this is what Birdie meant by Fox & Hound): Foxhunter Grill, in Lanexa, VA on the Chickahominy River. www.foxhuntergrill.com Directions from their website: Drive West on US-60 through Toano and Norge, Turn left at light at Anderson's Corner to remain on 60 W. Go 5.7 miles then turn left onto Rt 649 -Rockahock Rd. Drive 2 miles, midway going through one stop sign, then
Turn left immediately after Rockahock sign on left. Cross train tracks
Follow curvy road 500 yards, Fox Hunter Grill is on the right. Locate a spot in the generous parking available. Walk over the bridge and admire the pond with Goldfish and cattails. Open the door to a high quality authentic Italian dining experience. Probably 30 to 45 miniutes from Colonial Williamsburg. I also second the Kingsmill Marina.

Joy is absolutely correct! Sorry I was wrong about the name. Fox Hunter Grill has fabulous food but is hard to find so I'm glad Joy gave you directions.
The website for the Blue Heron Restaurant at Rivers Rest Marina in Charles City is www.riversrest.com. I haven't tried it but it looks interesting.
