Visit Maui Menus Online!!!
http://www.mauimenusonline.com

It's got a lot of the restaurants everyone's mentioned highlighted complete with menus, reviews, articles and a searchable database.

They might have been the one that gave SeaHouse restaurant the review.
I go to Maui several times a year. The two best restaurants, hands down, are:
A Pacific Cafe, in Kihei
David Pauls, in Lahaina
Have a great trip!!!

Thanks to everyone's wonderful suggestions! Since we're only going to be there a few days, we wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meals. I've got dinner reservations booked already and we're going to try to hit as many of the others as we can for breakfast and dinner. I have a feeling i'm going to be rolling myself back on the plane for the trip home, but it'll be worth it!

Ooops! I meant breakfast and lunch.

ISN'T THERE A PACIFIC CAFE FURTHER NORTH OF KAANAPLI NEAR THE EMBASSY SUITES? IT WAS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD! VERY INNOVATIVE..HOW CLOSE TO WALEA IS THE ONE IN KEHEI/ ANYONE?

My vote goes to Roy's. Food is excellent, though there isn't a view. Longhisis fun for a drink, but food is only so-so.

David Paul's Lahaina Grill -- by far the best in Maui!

sylvia3 Jun 7th, 2006 02:16 PM

hmmm--$35 for a "salad or sandwich" is typical overpriced, overhyped Mama's Fish House. If you want a great view and good food, take a picnic to the beach and save yourself a disappointing outing. I also like Pacific Cafe and Gerards.

I think I've seen that "local diner in Lahaina on Prison Street very near Front Street". They have Hawaiina style plate lunches too right? My tastes are pretty simple too: Sunrise Cafe and Moose McG in Lahaina. Buzz' Wharf in Maalea. There's a deli in Pawela (near Haiku) I think, that has great Kalua Turkey sandwiches. I'll look for the name. Also I like Casanova's and Polli's in Makawao.

The deli is the Pauwela Cafe & Bakery in Haiku:

Our best was Nick's Fishmarket!

I love Hula Grill & Mama's Fishhouse, but I think my all time favorite is Aloha Mixed Plate. You can't beat the prices & the location - right on ocean next to OLL site.

We loved Ferraro's and Spago at the Four Seasons. Ferraro's at sunset was gorgeous. :-)
