The Far East Cafe in Chinatown.
|
Glad this came up again. Our best meals were at Cha Cha Cha in Haight/Ashbury and at our Hotel Rex at Cafe Andre. They weren't cheap however. The quantities of wine we tried may have contributed.....ha ha

LOL donco, yes the wine can certainly make up the majority of the restaurant bill at times can't it..especially in SF!

Old thread I know - but I'll have to add brunch at Cafe for All Seasons in West Portal.
Hop on any Outbound K, L, or M streetcar and you're there. Love, love, love their complimentary muffins of the day and their special omelette (can't remember the name of it) that's made with spaghetti, amongst other things. I know, it sounds so wrong, but tastes so right! |

We were just there and so I wanted to add my favorites during our visit:
Andale Taqueria (healthy Mexican) at 2150 Chestnut St. between Steiner & Pierce Utopia Cafe (Chinese) at 130 Waverly Pl. (she said she's opening one in Seattle--will watch out for that one for sure!) The Helmand at 430 Broadway--Afghani these three were in Entertainment Book and, not in book, but inexpensive (though not cheap) L'Osteria del Forno at 519 Columbus Ave. what a foodie city!!! |
