Your reply to a new thread is either:
1) this must be a troll post

or 2) this question has been asked already many times, please do a search and you'll find your answer there

You're late for your exercise class because you have to respond to a post.

When you recognize posters who had changed their nicknames even on other forums!

When you think "bronxzilla" is a normal human name

When a crowd on people you'll never meet pick a name for your unborn baby

You make mental notes of your activities all week so you can post them on the Freaky Friday Rants & Raves.

...when you know who's traveling when & where and you keep looking for their trip reports & pics.

...when DH says, "oh voders again". I have no idea where that came from.

Good one GoT. But I have a worse one.

You take time off of work to write your trip report. (who, me?)

we are a pitiful bunch.

You are finally convinced that the Hotel Bonaparte is the ONLY hotel in Paris and you go there and find out it is true!

Your loved one brings you coffee on Friday morning with the message "It's Freaky Friday".

You make a mental note while travelling of what folks might want to know.

You actually do go to Get Togethers, drag your spouse along and try to explain the phenomena to your friends.

"try to explain the phenomena to your friends"

I've tried, but I've never been able to explain this to anyone. This is mainly because I don't understand it myself. About a year and a half ago I got a login for sole the purpose of asking ONE question about trains in Switzerland. That's all I wanted from this board. And now, unless I am traveling or hospitalized, I post to this board every day whether I am planning a trip or not. It cannot be explained--only a true Fodorite can fully understand.

BTW, I haven't been hospitalized since joining this board, but besides traveling, it's the only reason I would be on hiatus.

...you find yourself, at least once in every conversation saying "There's this thread on Fodor's..."

And you found yourself just having to take the time to post that even tho' it means you will now be late getting your kid from school!

You know what travel areas of interest many fodorites specialize in

"I read it on Fodor's that . . ." is your response to someone's question about a travel destination.

You know where to find European rail schedules and currency converters in a flash.

You know the difference between all electric plugs and whether you'll need a converter along with an adaptor.
