Yosemite's Wawona Hotel closing for unknown period
 

The 168 y.o. hotel is closing Dec. 2nd with no predicted reopening date. A 2022 wildfire surrounded the property, and a recent roof replacement project has revealed conditions that require investigation and evaluation. The lodging concessionaire has been accused of failling to address safety issues in recent years

Sad. I love the Wawona Hotel.

I hope they are able to repair and reopen. I have fond memories of our stay there and hope to return.

I have a good experience with this hotel and I hope that it will be re-opened soon with everything in order.
