Yosemite West Itinerary

Hi, We will be staying in a condo in Yosemite West for 3 nights in the end of May - Sat., Sun. and Mon. nights. We arrive around 6 on Sat., so we have 2 full days, Sun. and Mon.. We want to see all the major sights and do some short hikes. How could we arrange it to make the best use of our time, given our location in Yosemite West? We have Tues. morning also, before we make a 5 hour drive to Napa. I've been reading, but can't seem to wrap my head around the amount of time we need for getting from one place to another and whether to bike or tram. Thanks a in advance for your always appreciated advice.

One day on the valley floor, and if the snow is gone, one day to Glacier Point via shuttle and hike down to the valley floor.

Weird gremlins seem to be afoot today I posted a couple of hours ago and it 'took' but the post is gone in the ether somewhere.

Basically . . . You may end up spending both days in the Valley. If we get more snow like is forecast over the next few weeks, the Valley may be the only place you will be able to get to.

I'd take at least one ranger-led walks. I'd also got to Mirror Lakes, Happy Isles and at least part way up the Mist/Vernal/Nevada Falls Trail.

I'd also walk across the meadow south of Yosemite Lodge and across the swinging bridge (it doesn't swing) -- the most amazing views of the entire Valley including El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, etc and then across the road to the Chapel and back around into the Village or Lodge.

All the Falls should be spectacular this year.

I posted links to some of the above but will try again w/o the links.

I would not try to plan the day in the valley with precision.

If you are early birds here's what I would do.

Drive into the park, and visit Bridal Veil falls on the way
Park for the day, and walk or bike to visit the main sights mentioned by janis. You could leave El Capitan to visit on the way out for a close up.

Thank you for your help.It sounds great. Is there a specific parking lot I should park in? Do I need to make a reservation for a Ranger led walk? Any recommendations for dinner nearby?
