Yosemite - Strollerable Hikes
 

It appears I'll be going to Yosemite in mid-June with my daughter and 4 1/2 year old granddaughter.

I'm not concerned with most of the short hikes in the Valley.

After watching some of the hikes on Youtube and seeing how smooth/level some appear, I may be setting my sights a bit to high.

While my granddaughter is a good walker you never know with kids from one day or minute to the next.

I'm looking for some guidance on some of the following trails. I'd like to know which of these are smoth enough for the early part so that a stroller could be used to conserve energy.

Then either my daughter would stay with the granddaughter while I go on or we'd leave the stroller when it's not smooth/level enough and pick it up on the way back.

Glacier Point
Panorama Trail - only the early part - maybe a mile or two and then return back up.
Sentinel Dome
Taft Point
Hetch Hetchy - Wapama Falls
Mariposa Grove - Probably the Lower part.

Hetch Hetchy--strollerable from the parking lot, across the dam, and thru the tunnel. This is probably 1/2 to 3/4 of mile. After that, I don't think so.

Lots of places in Maripossa strollerable. I like the upper part because it is less crowded. I think the lower part is the best bet for a stroller. A lot of that is paved. I say the way to do Maripossa with a 4 year old would be on the tram.

Can't help you with the other.

Lower Yossemite Falls Trail
Cooks Meadow Loop
Mirror Lake Loop

I know about the ones in the Valley.

It's the others I'm trying to figure out.

And I could add the Mist Trail until about the bridge. Strollerable?

Mist trail night depend on the type of stroller. Part smooth part gravelly.

You see lots of young and elderly people making this hike. People in sandals & hiking boots. There is a huge range of abilities that take on this hike. A 4.5 should be able to make the hike without a stroller if some of the really old/overweight/out-of-shape people I have seen on that trail can do it.

She can probably do the hike. But with kids you never know.

She can probably do most things as long as we plan on stops. They have to take a lot of steps to match us. I just don't want to push her too much.
