Yosemite Question?????
We will be coming out to Yosemite National Park the first of June. We had 3 full days scheduled but I added an extra day just to be sure we had enough time. Now I'm rethinking this. The added day could be used for the rest of the trip(driving to Phoenix). Will we be able to get a good amount of small to moderate hikes in in 3 days? Thank You

I think 4 days would be great.
You will most likely want to spend the better part of a day at Maripossa Grove On one day, I would take the tram to Glacier Point and hike back down to the valley floor via the Panorama Tram that connects to The Mist Trail. This will take up the better part of your day. You will need some time to see the sights on the valley floor too. You could see Hetch Hetchy and hike there You could drive/Tuolomne area. Other hikes in Valley too. I would vote for 4 days instead of 3. If you don't plan on hiking much though, then 3 would be fine. The more hiking the better, IMOP |
Three days is a lot more time than most people spend there. It is beautiful. Enjoy.

For me, 2 or 3 are enough.

You will find plenty to do in Tuolumne Meadows.
You could also drive over Tioga Pass and visit Mono Lake or Bodie State Park. http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=514 http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=509 |
I think it depends on what you want to do most. Would you get more from stopping at Grand Caonyon or hiking in Sedona or visiting some Native American sites like Walnut Canyon and Montezuma's Castle on your way to Phoenix or would you enjoy more hiking in Yosemite?
