YOSEMITE LODGING HAVING MAJOR RENOVATIONS?
 

We booked two rooms at Yosemite Lodge November 19th & 20th. They had a great deal going on. But, I've been told that Yosemite Lodge is undergoing major renovations. Does any know if this is correct and if so, are the renovacations ongoing with lots of contractor noise?

I'd call them and ask them.

Even IF there IS construction . . . it wouldn't be at night when you are in the room.

It is really the only realistic option in Yosemite Valley (assuming you don't want to spend the big bucks at the Ahwahnee or rough it at Camp curry). There are motel rooms at Curry Village - but I'd much rather stay at Yosemite Lodge even w/ some construction than at Curry . . .

The renovations on Yosemite Lodge at the Falls have been on for two years that I've know. We've been lucky enough to have rooms that we not very close to the construction. As janisj says, they don't do it in the evening and we're usually gone most of the day.

And yes...we do have an RV, but in the winter we've been treating ourselves to a room at the Yosemite Lodge. ;)
