Yet another Disney Question..
 

Several of us are going to meet in Disneyworld next spring. Since we all have different tastes in food, etc, we want to stay at a resort that has a good food court and possibly a little convenience store where we can buy some food/drinks for our rooms if we feel like it. We would like to have a resort where some of the little kids can swim if they want to.

I know Caribbean Beach has a nice food court as we stayed there 13 years ago, but we haven't been back since. I am hoping to stay someplace different this time with a similar food court. If CB is the only one, then we could stay there.

Can anyone help me? Thanking you all in advance!!

All of the Disney resorts have food courts -- and they all offer most of the same basic food items, so I think you'll find that everyone can find something they like no matter where you stay.

They also all have swimming pools, and each pool area is unique and fun, no matter where you end up.

Check out http://www.allearsnet.com/ -- you'll be able to look at menu's for every food court and restaurant on property, as well as look at pics of all the pools.

Do you know if they still have like bakeries or sub sanwich type stores there? Also little convenience stores?

I believe the person who said all of the Disney resorts have food courts was mistaken. I've stayed in 5 of the Deluxe Resorts in the last 18 months and none have food courts in the traditional sense of the phrase.

They do have casual eat-in/take-out restaurants but the menus are limited and tied to the theme of the resort. (Captain Cooks in the Polynesian, for example.)

My parents stayed recently at the Coronado Springs and generally liked the hotel. There one criticism was the quality of the food. They don't like Mexican food so that could have been part of it.

Yes, Ryan is right. The higher end resorts really do not have a foodcourt as in that type at C. Beach. AK Lodge has two restaurants and a cafeteria type place- no food court at all.

I would stay near the Boardwalk area behind EPCOT and you have immense eating choices there. You can dash in to EPCOT and get breakfast at France (pasteries etc.)- and lots and lots of food is there too.

Ryan: Ah, you're right -- I was thinking food court for the values/moderates & 'casual dining/counter service' type places for deluxes, I should have been more specific!
