My family did both and loved staying at the Jackson Lake Lodge in the Tetons. They met other teenagers in the lobby at night and played cards and sat around and talked. I loved the Tetons - they took my breath away. And there were far less people than the hordes in Yellowstone. We really relaxed in the Tetons and had some gorgeous, uncrowded hikes. I wouldn't have missed the Tetons for the world!

If you are a hiker, you don't want to miss the hike to Lake Solitude in the Tetons. You take the boat across Jenny Lake and then hike to Lake Solitude--a day hike with spectacular views. it's one of our all time favorites and worth giving up some time in Yellowstone, which we also love.
