Yellowstone-Where to stay
 

I am going to Yellowstone the end of September. We really want to see the wolves. I have booked a room at the Gray Wolf Inn in West Yellowstone. Would it be better to stay inside the park?

We stayed there 3 weeks ago. Had a nice corner room. The best part about the place is it's proximity to the the Gizzly & Wold discovery center. They do their eerie howl and it just send chills down your spine. It was a quite decent place, but if you have the opportunity to stay in the Park, I would if I were you. West Yellowstone is ok, but has hardly any decent restaurants. Plus the Park is so great... it is mindboggling.

Best birthday ever? Waking up to Old Faithful outside my window...in the middle of the night. I'm a heavy sleeper but the geyser erupting in the middle of the night woke me up. A great memory. Stay in the park if you can.

Meant to say, Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, which was very interesting.

I was in Yellowstone earlier this month and feel that if you want to see animals you need to stay in the Park and get up really, really early in the morning.

Keep in mind that right now there are A LOT of people and RV's in Yellowstone.

We also went to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center which was really interesting. I'm surprised it doesn't get more coverage because it's really great!
