Yellowstone Tours
am looking over the tours that yellowstone provides and am curious if anyone has gone on them, and if you have any suggestions:
The circle of Fire tour is the souther loop The yellowstone in a day is the full park (the only difference I see is this one stops at mammoth and doesn't allow as much time at each stop) Washburn Expedition is the northern loop Lake Butte Sunset Tour - only 26.00 and I had this on my list to do, but this would have a guide to give information/learning etc. Is it worth it? I will be there 6 days so I will have time on my own, but my thought was to go on one tour at least for the information/learning etc. Love to hear your input. I like the idea of a custom tour - but they are like $500.00 instead of $50/60 bucks. Unless there is someone else that is going to be there Sept. 23 - 26 that would want to split the cost... |
I saw this one recommended on a different board the other day. You'd need to find someone to share the costs though.
http://www.yellowstone-bearman.com/ I might do the whole park tour early in the trip and then you'll know best where to go back to. We were there for 3 days and did our own thing. Wonderful place. Click on my name to get to the profile and click on our web site link if you want to see our pictures. We were there in mid-July. |
Maybe not on the profile thing. www.alandsuejohnson.com

Thanks for posting the link to your trip report, AIJ! I think you should start a new thread and post the link to it so all travellers to Yellowstone can find the link to your great site.
I laughed when I read, "I didn't know you could make etouffee in a cream sauce. The people in Louisiana don't know it either." Amen! I'll stay away from etouffee in Yellowstone. ;-) |
We did the north and south loop all day tours. Very very worthwhile and modestly priced. A quick way to get an overview and information about the sites. Highly recommend either tour.

Great scenic and animal photos on your site - we are going to Yellowstone early October, from Australia, so found them extra interesting. Thanks for sharing.

We too are going in early October, just before most of the hotels close. Anybody know the average first snowfall date for that part of WY? I bet its not too much later than that. Seeing the park in a layer of white would be very interesting.

Hmmm, since it can snow in the summer there, I'd like to know the average date for first snow, too, Spokaneman. We'll be there the third week of Sept.
