Yellowstone is gorgeous in the winter. Be aware that you may not be allowed to drive in. There are "snow coach" tours however, and the wildlife viewing is supposed to be spectacular. Visit the National Park web site for all the latest information.

For in-park lodging, check out Yellowstone's consessionary lodgekeepers at www.amfac.com.

You can drive from the north entrance to Mammoth and lodge at Mammoth Hot Springs lodging, but you need to take the snowcoach or snowmobiles to get to the Old Faithful Snowlodge (the only 2 lodges open in the winter). There is a skating rink at Mammoth, too.

If you fly-in or stay in Jackson from the south, you could arrange snowmobiles and lodging at Flagg Ranch.

There are winter packages for tours or do-it-yourself cross country skiers, snowmobilers (someday the missus and I will do it... darnit... someday...).
