Yellowstone and Jackson Hole in March

What would the weather, snow be like early to mid March? Roads open? and driving conditions?
Thanks!

You are aware that the road from Grand Teton to Yellowstone is not open until May? March is still very snowy and the parks are under winter conditions. The only plowed roads in Yellowstone are in the north and northeast part of the park; the rest of the park is accessible only by authorized oversnow vehicles (not cars). It would be an incredibly long and difficult detour to get from Jackson to Gardner, Montana to access Yellowstone at this time of year. Please refer to the NPS online information (http://www.nps.gov/yell/index.htm) if you still intend to plan a trip like this.

Mid-March is full-on winter in the Rockies. Jackson Hole will be a fully functional ski resort. Yellowstone will be accessible only to snowmobiles, except for that small northeast corner. The road from Grand Teton to Yellostone is closed.

Just as an example of tekwriter's comment, from Jackson to Gardner the best road will take you from Jackson to Idaho Falls, north to West Yellowstone, thence north again the Bozeman, east to Livingston and then south to Gardner...and that's the "short" way when winter road closures are in place.
