Yellowstone and Grand Tetons

We will be traveling with our small children to Yellowstone. We will be staying in Big Sky Montana for one week. Is it doable to drive to Jackson for a day? We would hate to be so close and miss it. Is there enough to do in Yellowstone for several days? Any travel suggestions will be appreciated.

1°)According to several driving time applications, Big Sky-Jackson is a 3h15-3h30 schedule and same to drive back.
So I'm not sure this is a good option...
Or to have a night in Jackson and so you can explore Grand teton.
2°)Yes, there are enough to do in Yellowstone for several days...
As you have to drive from Big Sky, the best is to choose aone area/day
- Tower and lamar valley- one day(wildlife++),
- Hidden Valley and Canyon-one day(scenery and wildlife++)
- Mammoth and Norris - one day(scenery)
- Lake Yellowstone and Pelican area- one day(scenery and wildlife)
- Old faithfull and some chromatic springs-one day(scenery).
If your children are small, this can allow you to have some days quiet in Big Sky to relax.
In every area there are some small and easy hikes.

Why do you want to drive to Jackson? But you could reach the Teton Park and see it.

Big Sky/Grand Teton is always 3h40 mn drive==>7h20 drive out and back...
