You just made me so homesick with your trip report and pictures! My family and I used to live in Bozeman. After I graduated from college four years ago I moved to San Diego, and my family moved to Washington, so I haven't been back in four years. You've inspired me to plan a trip to my home state! Thanks.

Fantastic pics, thanks for sharing! We were in YNP and GT this past summer and we hope to return again in the future for a winter experience. Loved the close up of the Big Horn. We saw wonderful wildlife on our trip, but the bighorn eluded us. Thanks again!

Patty,
Loved the trip report and photos. Have only been to Yellowstone in the summer but a winter visit is my dream trip.
Sorry to hear about the Park Street Cafe. We ate there during our trip and loved it. In fact, it's one of the few vacation meals we still talk about.
Thanks for sharing.

Patty,
Thanks for alerting me to this thread! As a Bozeman resident and frequent visitor to Yellowstone, it has been fun to read
I've also taken a look at your nice pix. You were truly blessed to have a sunny sky while you were at Old Faithful. The park is usually overcast or partly cloudy at that time of year. We were there this last winter (in a Bombadier snowcoach - perhaps the same one in your pictures!) and it was grey all day even though it was clear and sunny in Bozeman. So there was no contrast for photos of the geyser eruptions.
Yes, the Park Street Cafe in Gardiner has closed, however, I can recommend Pedalino's on Park Street. It's a fabulous Italian restaurant with a generous menu. I've had about 5 different dishes there and they were all excellent.
Lastly I viewed your final photo of the Gallatin Field Airport with fondness. It looks straight towards our house - we live at the foot of those mountains, the Bridger Mtn. Range

Thanks, doo! Glad you enjoyed my report and pics. Thanks for the restaurant rec too. It'll come in handy when we return (we haven't made it back yet but we will!). Next time we get stuck at BZN, I'll just show up at your doorstep
