Yellow Skies in Boston
Due to a number of naturally caused forest fires in Canada, the huge waves of smoke have blown south to cover much of New England. On Saturday Boston had yellow skies. It still has yellowish skies, although the level of smoke has gone down. You can not detect or smell smoke in the air, rather it looks like a raincloud or fog, only it's yellow.

Odd.

We had the same experience in DC over the weekend -- very strange. Couldn't smell smoke at all, and we didn't know the cause until we read the paper yesterday a.m. before we headed home.

Same thing in NY/NJ. We had a good wind today though and the sky was more normal.Poor Canada:(

Same in upstate New York (Rochester) ... humidity was low Saturday, with temps in the low 70s, yet it was incredibly hazy. However, on Sunday the skies were as blue as could be ... the winds must have shifted.
