Thusday, I wrote you back..let me know if you did not get it; I am not so familiar with the PM function..

I'm not looking to go anyplace (until I get the partner to give up the Florida place but that might not ever happen and he is no spring chicken, as Nana used to say!!) but if I were younger I sure would consider the Carolinas..there seem to be many appealing places both on the coasts and off. This morning I watched a taped show on HGTV about James Island, SC; it looked nice and much closer to Charleston than John's island, which looked pretty developed, not in a great way. But that's just the impression from these tv shows; I've never been to either place.

If I won the lottery, I'd buy a place in Spain or Italy to base myself in the winters. Things sure have changed a lot since VRBO and all those rental sites and agencies.

I can never figure out, though, how all these young couples on HGTV HH International just pick up and move to FRance with no jobs. How can they find work legally in Europe?? Or anywhere else, apart from teaching English which seems to be the default job.

Starrs: Thank you for that link to the article. I'd never heard of Hillsborough and it sounds just about perfect.

Think about Beaufort or Edisto.
