Yankees vs Indians Tickets - Need Help Fast

Does anyone know a good way to get tickets to the playoff game on Monday? We are from Ohio and the Indians will be playing the Yankees. We will change our entire itinerary if we can get tickets to the game on Monday. What is the best way to get decent seats..............QUICK?

I assume you mean in NY and from a secondary source? If so, I would try Craigslist.

Yes, in NY. I screwed this post up since I was in such a hurry. We will be spending three days in New York City from Saturday, Oct. 6 through Tuesday, Oct. 9. Never even thought about doing a baseball game. But now that the playoff games have started, we thought it would be fun to see Cleveland play NY and also see the Yankee stadium.

Do it! If you've never done tickets on Craigslist before, just pick a post, email or better yet call the person, and make the switch (money for tickets) in a public place. I've done Sharks playoff tickets that way several times.

Another possibility is

www.StubHub.Com

In Philly yesterday, they had a story about two people wanting to get tickets to the Phillies playoff game. One person paid a scalper $200 cash, and got worthless counterfeit tickets. The other person waited till about an hour before game time (remember, ticket prices are like any other commodity -- prices go WAY down when it appears likely nobody will buy them) and got a genuine ticket for $80, fees included.

If the Yankees lose game 2 as badly as they lost game 1, then getting a ticket to Yankee Stadium may be easier then you would expect. The key is waiting as long as you dare to get tickets.

12-3 bad enough for you? :-)

SR, let us know if you get tickets - that would be a lot of fun!

Thanks, everyone. Still deciding what to do.

If we dont get tickets or decide not to go to the game, can anyone recommend a good place in Manhattan to watch the game? We will be staying at the Millenium Broadway.

Thanks everyone for your quick responses.

ESPN Zone at Times Square.

Based on tonights game there probably won't even be a game 4.

If you like giant crowds watch the game at Stan's across the street from the Stadium. I wouldn't go to ESPN Zone because I think the bar area is actually kind of small and poorly laid out. What about Mickey Mantle's?
