Wyndham Summerfield Suites in Seattle?

Has anyone stayed in this hotel? Do you have any insight advice? Is it a good location?Still trying to figure out where to stay in Seattle, never been before.
Thanks for the help!

I haven't stayed in this location but I've stayed in other Summerfield Suites properties - they're by far my favorite suites style hotel and I've stayed in almost all of them (Residence Inn, TownPlace Suites, Spring Hill Suites, Candlewood Suites, Amerisuites, Embassy etc). great amenities, nice layout, good linens - a real class operation. If you stay there be sure to sign up in advance for a free Wyndham by request card - you'll get a welcome gift (wine or beer plus some cheese and crackers or fruit) waiting in the room when you check in and the high speed Internet access is free for WBR cardholders (if you bring your PC).

Location is a bit more of a walk to the central downtown shopping, Pike Place Market, museums etc but only by an extra five minutes of walking or so. The plus side of that location is that it's a shorter walk to the Capital Hill area where there arte lots of great espresso bars, cool shops and more moderately priced restaurants. If you get a good rate go for it.

Thanks for the info Owen. I appreciate it. Is it a staight uphill walk from the pier? Only asking b/c we have two small children and that could be an issue. I am also looking at the Silver Cloud Inn at Lake Union.
Thanks!

If you are looking at Lake Union areaand want a suite - we stayed at Residence Inn Lake Union 2 or 3 years ago and it was above average for Residence Inn - breakfast was better, little balconies with view of Lake Union to watch seaplanes land, nice walk through residential marina in AM

Yes - it's a long walk uphill from the pier and waterfront area. Summerfield is actually east of the freeway where it intersects the edge of downtown. That puts it several blocks past 8th Street, not far from the corner of Pine. I've stayed near Pine and 4th and found it very convenient. I've also stayed up near College and 8th at the Crowne Plaza - further from the water and further from thmonrail. I found the walking up the hill to be only a minor hassle but I wasn't with young children.

I think Lake Union might be a better choice with children. It's easy enough to get a cab back over from downtown or the pier if the kids are tired.

Thank you everyone for your help! We finally decided on the Silver Cloud Inn at Lake Union; got a suite for a great price! I think you were right that it would be better to stay in this area with the kids. Now we just have to wait the two weeks until we can start our first official family roadtrip! ;o)
We are looking forward to it...especially the kids!
