Wyndham Casa Marina - Florida Keys
 

Has anyone stayed at the Wyndham Casa Marina? If so, how was your experience. I'm thinking of staying there in late August.<BR><BR>Thanks.

I stayed there a few years ago when it was a Sheraton. It was lovely. I will be staying there next month so i will post when i get back. also, there are some other threads on this so check under the Florida heading.

It has the best beach/pool area of any hotel in Key West. Having said that, I don't think the location is very good. Key West is small, and if you're in a convenient location you should be able to walk to sunset celebrations, restaurants and tourist activities. If you stay at the Casa Marina you'd need to either rely on the shuttle or rent bikes or mopeds.

They should tear it down and start over. The best part is the pool. The rest suck unless you like &quot;Decor by K-mart&quot;

Musty, smelly, small, over priced and over rated place. I will never go back.

Um S it never was a Sheraton. It used to be a Marriott.

wonder where Kit stayed...Casa Marina was never a Sheraton...It was a Marriott for years mainly occupied by people using up their Marriott Points and thus was sold to the next victim. It used to be a nice property. Wyndham is a pretty good third tier outfit so it shouldn't be a dump. <BR><BR>As a Floridian..I must ask: are you trying to catch the next Big Blow (movie reference to Key Largo). It is guaranteed to be hot, many afternoon storms, a very sultry vacation and you might have an opportunity to experience a hurricane close up and personal.<BR>
