WY experts - drive time for scenic rt, Cody to Red Lodge?

Trying to plan a 4 wk itinerary but I'll ask for more help with that later. One drive we're looking at is Cody to Red Lodge along the Beartooth Highway taking 120 from Cody to 298 to 212. Is that doable in one day? Thanks.

It would be a nice days drive driving the Chief Joseph Highway (WY296} and over the Top of the World via the Beartooth Highway. That would allow you time to stop and enjoy.

You could do it less than a day, BUT the stops and views are amazing. Bring lots of film!

I think we'll be in the Beartooth area right around Labor Day weekend.

It is definitely doable in a day. Leave early so you can take your time, enjoy the views and wildlife and take a litte hike. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy along the way. It is a beautiful drive!

That's a beautiful drive you have planned, and easily doable in a day. As others have said, you'll want your camera ready for this drive.
