So many, just in one trip...<BR><BR>Pulling off 89-A just outside of Sedona, AZ in the black of night to see the stars, and finding out that it was SO black you couldn't even see your hand in front of you but the sky was amazing. <BR><BR>The drive into Sedona at the beginning of a beautiful sunset.<BR><BR>And, on the same trip, an unlikley snowfall on Christmas morning in Sedona. The low clouds floating over the red rocks were such an amazing "other worldly" sight.<BR>

This might sound bland compared to the previous posters, but it's one I highly recommend.<BR><BR>On the first night of any vacation (no matter how big or small), get out and see the sunset. I love the feeling of seeing the sun go down on something I haven't seen before (or seen recently).<BR>

My first trip west of the Mississippi- flying into Denver, driving up to Cheyenne and back down to the 4 corners area of Colorado. Spent about 10 hours in such awe that all I could say was "holy s---!" Like nothing else I'd ever seen.

This may sound lame, but the first time I was ever on a plane. When the plane flew over the snow-capped desert mountains of the southwest I was awe-struck.

THANK YOU ALL. I agree with everyone here but must add White Sands in New Mexico. We went in late March, it was warm but not hot. I stood on one dune and spoke in a normal tone to my son two dunes away and he heard me! I got great videos of my sons flipping over the sides of the dunes, we got real sunburned, but it was so worth it. We have such a great deal to see in our own country. We were at Acadia and took lunch to the top of Cadillac Mountain, the BEST lunch view ever.
