Would you visit the Wine Country in Winter?

Hi,
I have a weekend in the Sonoma Wine Country planned for January '06, but now I'm wondering if this is the best time of year to visit and see it...?
We're staying at the Gaige House, coming from southern California where the temps are high 60's, low 70's, and I don't like cold weather!!!
Thanks again!!

Its gonna be chilly. Plan on many mornings starting in the 30's or 40's and during the day you might see a high in themid 50's.

uh-oh!! hmmm...

Hi frankie, if you do not like cold weather Sonoma Valley would not appeal to you in January. You will no doubt experience cold weather and very possibly rain also. You might be happier postponing your trip until Spring has arrived.

Hello from Sonoma valley, frankie !
I agree with No name and LoveItaly,
it is 11:38 AM here and only 45 degrees-
the sun is out and will get up to 62
or so today. It does feel quite nice out in the sun AND another positive
is there are no crowds now, compared to the summer madness.

wow -- thanks so much, guys. I'll show this thread to my husband. We'll go to Sonoma in better weather, probably, and maybe switch to Cabo this time.
But the Gaige house sure looks fine...
