Flamingo/Mirage Las Vegas

4 of us are going to Vegas 3/18-21. We want a really nice pool and decent sized room as we will be sharing. Which is better: Flamingo or Mirage? The Mirage is running $50 more per person.

Hi markimren. Depends on who is going. If all adults, I'd choose the Mirage. It's more upscale than the Flamingo. If you have kids or want a real party atmosphere (at the pool), choose the Flamingo. Have fun!

I have stayed at the Flamingo and it does have a grat pool (waterfalls, etc). OUr room was large, but a little outdated. The Flamingo has an excellent location.

We stayed at the Flamingo late April/early May last year and the pool area is very nice but the water was quite cold. More people sunbathing than swimming. Room was OK, just your average motel room, we had a good view over the pool area. We got a good price at the Flamingo direct from their website.

The pools will probably be closed for swimming until at least the middle of April.

Hi,

I think the Mirage pool is open all year ( apart from sometime in December/Jan for annual maintenance)

I think you might get one pool at the Flamingo open in March but not the full pool complex.

Regards

My husband and I stayed at both of these hotels in 2003 and I would definitely pick the Mirage over the Flamingo. Our room at the Flamingo was disgusting.

I recently had a most wonderful stay at the Flamingo for only $55 per night. I can't say a bad thing about it!

I have stayed at the Mirage the past two summers and I love the hotel. If you want a big tropical clean pool then you can't do better than the Mirage. I have read so many positive reviews of the Flamingo pool, but when I went to check it out I found it to look run down, a little dirty and nowhere as tropical as the Mirage. The Mirage is more upscale than the Flamingo in all respects. And, if the pool is very important, PLEASE believe me that the Mirage is significantly nicer than the Flamingo. One piece of advice that is true for all the Vegas hotels with great pools--get there early to get a good pool lounge.
