Had a great trip to Wyoming. Towards the end, we were spending the night in Rock Springs at the Days Inn. Decided to use the laundry room. On the way out the door, a metal a/c grate fell off the wall and hit me across the face. Split my lip and eye open. Had to go to the Emergency Room. The doctors and nurses thought my DH hit me...they didn't believe my story at all. The hotel didn't care. I thought we'd at least get the room for free. After a battel, they paid for the hospital bill.

Went home the next day since I wasn't in any shape to continue hiking.

missypie, it had to have been the same blizzard. That must have been terrible at the Tech Center with no food or alcohol for the weekend. But I'm guessing it was better than being stuck in the airport terminal with all those thousands of stranded passengers, no food, no maintenance staff to clean the facilities, etc. As disappointed as I was, I'm glad we didn't have to experience that.
