Hi:
Home again. I finally can catch up on my mail, laundry, emails, etc. I am feeling better though every so often I find my mind wandering and my heart aches and my eyes fill. I know that will take a long time to go away.
On a lighter note, I had a catalog order waiting for pickup at JC Penney. My answering machine had three message from them asking me to call back and let them know if I still wanted the items or not. So I called...what a mistake. After I explained to the woman who answered the phone, why I would not be in at least until Monday or Tuesday, I got an unexpected response. Instead of just agreeing to hold my items, I got a lecture on how long the stuff had been there and why can't I come in over the weekend??? Excuse me??? I just explained why!! Not a lick of understanding or compassion. Of course there was no supervisor there to speak with me. So JC Penney is about to lose a very loyal customer. Makes me laugh now! I guess things that would have upset me in the past...

Goes to show you that some people still have not gotten a dose of reality yet. Why not say "ok, ms. AC whenever you get here will be great" JC Penney's employee needs a lesson in compassion
