Good Eats in Scottsdale:
Old Town Tortilla Factory
Banderas (best BBQ)
Good Museums:
Arizona Science Center http://www.azscience.org/ - Pnce you get past the squimishness - the body exhibit is amazing.
Phoenix Art Museum
Desert Botanical gardens- dont miss the butterfly exhibit
Sedona:
Definitely doable in a day.. go to Tlaquepaque - its an old artsits colony with lots of local art, jewelry and stuff for sale. If you want to do a quick hike - hit 'Call of the Canyon" just outside of town on 89A
Hope this helps!

Wow! Thanks for the additional information ((BBQ sounds so good). We are getting very excited. We leave in two weeks!!!! Yippie!
I hear mid-April is a beautiful time to visit Arizona, but currently the temps are in the upper 80's so I guess 90/100 temps are not out of the question. Any hikes we do will occur in the morning -- I don't like long walks in the heat.
The hotel mentioned that Enchantment is a great to go to for drinks and a view of the Red Rocks.
As for the snakes, I'll just carry a big stick, lol.

Hi, seetheworld. Temps are not in the upper 80's. When I left work at 230 today, it was a beautiful 76 degrees outside. With any luck, you wont hit temps in the 90's and I would highly doubt you will see 100. At any rate, enjoy.

In "Old Scottsdale" go eat at Cowboy Ciao, excellent. After your meal, walk behind the restaurant into an alley to drink wine at Kazimier Wine Bar. There is no sign, just above the door it says "The Truth Is Here" or something like that...

This is not to be missed. Amazing wine list and great atmosphere!
