Women friendly places to stay in las vegas

Hi
We are planning a girls trip to LV and wanted to know which hotels you recommend. Unlike guys we don't want to see scantily clad cocktail waitresses every time we turn around. We want to gamble, enjoy some shows and do the spa thing.
thanks

I have been to LV with my girl friends 3 times, when age 30 to 40's. We do not spend much time gambling, but enjoying the sights and things to do. We have never felt uncomfortable anywhere we went, LV really is geared to be fun for all.
We stayed at Treasure Island, The Orleans (which was a great great deal, and they drive you to the strip, worked great) The Mirage.
Be sure to get to off the strip and go to Freemont St. for the night light show, it is really fun.
If you go with the hotels that are more family friendly, have deals, vs. the Hotels.clubs Paris Hilton may visit, you will feel very comfortable.

Every hotel has scantily clad waitresses giving free drinks to the losers. There is no way to avoid it. (I have never seen so many ridiculously huge fake boobs in my entire life). But there's no reason to let that bother you - just stay away from the old fashioned "scanty" shows. Also - you don;t say when you are going - but do check if the hotel you're looking at has adult (topless) pools - if that would bother you.

"don't want to see scantily clad cocktail waitresses every time we turn around.". Well, that's Las Vegas!

Our daughter and her girlfriends got a good price at the Luxor and were happy with it.

Their experience in LV was that it is a VERY girl-friendly place. They were ushered into the top clubs, ahead of guys or couples, given freebies like an invite to a JLo fashion show and comped swimsuits, dinner coupons and free drinks, etc. They had it made. One of their girlfriends was there with her guy, and was bummed because they had to wait in line and were sometimes turned away from top clubs.

<scantily clad cocktail waitresses>

are pretty much the norm. I think you'll need to not let that bother you (or stay out of bars and casinos!). It's just part of the culture in Las Vegas.

I've traveled solo to Vegas a few times and have always had a great time. I'm not a gambler, but I do like my pool time, good food and shopping – so Vegas is a great destination for all that.

Have stayed at the Wynn, Palazzo, Paris, and more recently the Mandalay Bay. Really enjoyed the last one. The pool was great. By comparison, the pool at the Wynn was much quieter. But no complaints on any of the hotels. Just look for the best deal and grab it.

Have fun!

www.cheapovegas.com has funny reviews of all of the properties. In the past, I have stayed at Caesar's, Monte Carlo, Bally's, Luxor and Excalibur. I wouldn't go back to Exaclibur again, but all of the others were great!

You may want to check out The Platinum Hotel and Spa. They have large suite sized rooms,(950-1100 sf) and by calling direct, I saved another $30 per night(better than an online 21 day advance purchase) on a weekend stay.
We are driving in from San Diego, two college friends and myself.

I have been solo at the following: TI, South Point (easier when they had the free shuttle to MB) MGM, (nice Celebrity suite upgrade), Excalibur (widescreen room).

Sahara was interesting a few years ago. I was stuck in their elevator, and got a Penthouse room as a consolation, which was so much nicer than the original room, with a cigarette burn in the bedspread.

I agree that most places in Vegas are pretty women friendly. Yes, the cocktail waitresses are scantily clad everywhere, but it's just part of the Vegas vibe.

My favorites are the Venetian/Palazzo and the Bellagio (upscale), the Paris and Mirage (mid range) and Bally's and Harrah's (budget). All are well located on the strip, and female friendly, with good dining options. If budget is no option, I'd seriously consider Wynn/Encore.

I really like the Canyon Ranch spa at the V/P, but the spas at Caesars and Encore also get good reviews. Most of the nicer strip properties will have nice spas, so it's easiest to go where you're staying.

Every hotel on the Strip dresses their cocktail waitresses in well - cocktail waitress garb.

Actually, compared to the outfits the 20-something girls wear to the clubs, the cocktail waitresses come off as conservative.

If that's your concern, I might you consider two other issues. Which hotels are less likely to appeal to the 20-something party crowd and bachelor parties and which hotels don't cater to the "Come drink with a Kardashian" club crowd.

We like the Bellagio and Wynn's. But ever there you have the "Vegas" crowd.
