...with satellite tv?

Is there a guide for lodging with satellite tv instead of cable? I would prefer a hotel with satellite over cable, and wish there was a list of places to stay that offer satellite. Would any of you share this preference?

You get on a plane to see a new place, and instead you plan to watch TV? What's the reason for going?

Is this in a specific location or in general? I think cruise ships operate satellite only.

It is hard for them to run cable that far.

Faina - I was wondering the same thing. I watch a little TV when I am on vacation, but not enough to care about cable or satellite.

If I gambled on sports, I suppose I'd want to have a sports network available to see if I had enough money to stay on vacation...8^)

sorry I asked.....(
I prefer satellite for news, music and programing. Some hotel cable is painfully boring to me, and often the radios are of poor quality, not worth music listening. I don't pay a hotel to be gone 24 hours, and traveling alone, I enjoy the company of satellite entertainment to help me rest through my insomnia.
Yes, I would stay at a hotel with satellite over one with cable. I also request satellite radio in my rental cars.
