winter

I would like to find a place for the winter months to rent, I have bad lungs and Michigan is very cold for this problem, I would like to find a place not Flordia for 2 or 3 months, me and a small dog, and a place I could drive to myself, it would have to be a one story as I use oxygen and don't do stairs well, Thank You Mable

More information would be helpful if you want some good recommendations. How far do you want to drive? Do you want to head south, or southwest? Humid or dry air? You may want to visit vrbo.com and look into any long-term rentals, or check the local newspapers online too.

Hi Mable ~ travel_addict's suggestion is a good one. They have properties all over the world! We have used them and have had good luck.

Top find your perfect location, you may like to check out this site:

Mable, try the Mirador Motel in Hollywood Beach, Florida.

Clean, reasonable, and I'm pretty sure they take pets.

I think she said "not flordia".

Could it be an apartment in a building with an elevator?

Would you drive as far as New Mexico or Arizona?

I guess I can add 'not reading comprehension' to my list of attributes.

Sorry mable.

Check the coast of South Carolina. Reasonable (cheap off season) and much warmer than Michigan.

There are huge 1/2 empty trailer parks (don't let that phrase scare you off, most are nicer than condos) in Bull Head City, AZ. LOTS AND LOTS of people just like yourself and who rent or will sell/buy VERY reasonably. Very dry climate, never cold, and great for COPD or any breathing problems. My one aunt did this for the last 11 years of her life until 93.

Coming home to Chicago, even in May, she could hardly breathe here. There it was MUCH less of a problem.

Across the river- Laughton, NV and a million things to do. Lots of oxygen tanks and good friends. Mable.
