"Winging It' angst in Kennebunkport on 9/18!

We will be driving from Camden after breakfast to visit the Kennebunkport area. Is a reservation necessary if we decided to spend the night?

I have checked the Colony for 9/18 and they are booked already..any suggestions for a great but not necessarily fancy spot on a Saturday night?

I am already experiencing "Winging It" angst!

Thanks so much,
Lucci

we stayed at the Arundel Inn--right on the water, very nice and great food.Lots of places to stay around Kennebunkport--you should be able to find someting.Cape Porpoise is close by too, and has some very good lobster spots

Yes, I would say that reservations are necessary for a Saturday night in September.

I have stayed at the Captain Lord Mansion and Bufflehead Cove. Both great places. The Kennebunkport Inn is right in the center of town. I love Kennebunkport.

Arundel Wharf Restaurant is a fun place to sit outside and have lunch. Take a ride past Cape Porpoise to Goose Rocks Beach. Beautiful beach. Have a drink at the Tides Inn by the Sea - across the street from the beach.

Friends like the Anchorage in Ogunquit. It's on the Marginal Way so they walked to a local restaurant from breakfast each morning.

i second that about bufflehead, and heard good things about captain lord mansion. we've stayed at the bufflehead cove 3 times, and it's now a tradition!
