Wine Country Lodgings

We are interested in visiting the California Wine Country in June for our honeymoon. We plan to stay for 3 nights and move on. Has anyone stayed at the Milliken Creek Inn, Oak Knoll Inn or 1801 First. We definitely want romantic and are willing to pay up to $400 per night. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

The Harvest Inn in St. Helena is very nice. www.harvestinn.com The grounds are beautiful, the rooms spacious and tastefully done and the breakfast is very nice with beautiful views of the vineyards.

Also very centrally located for the Napa/Yountville/Calistoga areas. Happy Honeymoon! ***kim*** :)

You will be quite happy with Milliken Creek or Oak Knoll. I like Milliken because of the river views. Many like Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford off the Silverado Trail-at least stop by for drinks and the view!Very romantic!
Congrats!

we live in sf and have stayed in wine country a zillion times- when we saw oak knoll one afternoon we could not believe it- without a doubt stay here- and i second the auberge- but prices there are like $600 a night- no joke.

forget forget forget harvestinn- it's like a hobit village awful location-= awful rooms unless you are really into ye olde california. we're not...

Please,
What does Oak Knoll offer for 600.00 per night?

The Auberge is very nice! And the rooms are not all $600/night. www.aubergedusoleil.com is the web address. As for the comment on the Harvest Inn, check it out for yourself. www.harvestinn.com

Good luck! ***kim*** :)

Oak Knoll is on a very quiet road between hwy 29 and the Silverado Trail. You also have a view of the vineyards. We checked out the rooms and they are lovely. I liked the feel of the place alot. If I didn't have my in-laws living right up the road and I also had bags of money lying around the house, I'd stay there in a heartbeat!
