Wine Country

Three days in Wine Country/ Napa and Sonoma. What are the must-see destinations?

My husband and I enjoyed touring Mondavi, and wine tasting at Stag's Leap, Sattui, and Chateau St. Jean along with other places.

Have fun!

Bay Area locals go to Sonoma. We take visitors from out of town to Napa. So go to Sonoma.

We really enjoyed visiting Korbel and sampling the champagnes. Beautiful landscape as well!

Coco is right. Sonoma is the place to go. We always enjoy visiting the town of Healdsburg and eating at Bistro Ralph!

The tourists all go to Napa. One must-see place in Napa, however, is Jarvis winery. It is an astonishing place (all underground in a cave) but you need to call ahead.

Fodors has a small book dedicated to the Wine Country. I used it on my last trip there and it was extremely helpful with suggestions for off-beat vineyards to the most luxurious/corporate ones. Also, great recommendations for restaurants in the areas. Plus maps, etc.

Sorry, not Fodors, but Frommer's has a great little book. Sorry about the mistake.
