Windows Off Washington (in St. Louis) - have you been there?

I am going to a wedding reception at Windows Off Washington at the end of June. Looks pretty upscale - just hoping to get someone's personal reference.

It's nice, but definitely not intimidatingly upscale at all. Relax.

Actually, I was hoping it was upscale. Thanks for letting me know!

It IS upscale; just not of the snobby variety (which is what I was referring to by, for what would be to some, "intimidatingly.")

Sorry I wasn't clear on that...

We were at a reception at Windows Off Washington last summer. It is a cool rehabbed loft like space that was accessed from a freight-like elevator....quite interesting. The room is surrounded by a balcony looking out over St. Louis. I think how upscale or not the reception is depends on how the space is used. The bat mitzvah reception we attended was dressy casual but I could see the space being quite formal with an artsy twist, with different decorations and lighting. Its not a stuffy Ritz-like venue. Have fun.

was at a wedding reception several years ago there. The previous poster was correct in how the reception is done. The one I went to, I don't remember/invision it being "upscale", more like simple and nice. Nothing remarkable. Maybe try the botanical gardens or the like if you want for-sure upscale regardless of the $$ in the reception
