Wilmington, N.C. where to stay?
 

We are driving from Charleston to
Richmond, Va. and spending one night
in Wilmington, so that the driving
is not too long.,
We are looking for a place to stay
and walk around.,in Wilmington I looked at the
Best Western Coastline Inn.
Any suggestions?

Rent a room near the Cape Fear River.

While not *in* Wilmington,
its very close.
There's a Holiday Inn (Express?)
right on the ocean at
Wrightsville Beach, just
a short drive from Wilmington.
Very nice hotel and location.

If you are at all interested in staying at a "destimation" place instead of a motel, Wilmington has a couple of very lovely B&Bs

The B & B's there are nice, & centrally located, but many will require a two night stay if you are visiting on the weekend.
