Thank you for the reply. Actually I found a home for weekly rent on Craigs List and took it. Why would it not be your first choice? Of course, I'm not familiar with any of the beaches, but what we would want would be maybe an arcade, shopping,nothing special. Are the beaches close together? Which one would be best to drive to for shopping, etc?

We usually stay farther south than Kure, I have little first hand knowledge of it, so I will decline further comment. I would start another post specific to Kure Beach & you should get some helpful info.

I answered Pamela on her other thread and I think they will have a great time--especially ocean front. And as San says, kids will have fun at the beach any time, but Kure is good for that. It is a good surfing beach--better than some that are further south. As for water temp, not much to be done about that--it will be plenty warm, and it will be crowded that week.
Pamela, we also go to other beaches ,but you will enjoy it.
