Williamsburg, VA weather in late May

How is the weather in Williamsburg in late May? Has the humidity started to set in yet normally?

Well, compared to what? It's pretty muggy there year-round (I lived in newport news for a couple of years). But late May won't be as bad as later in the summer.

Average high in late may is high 70's, average low high 50's. There is a lot of variation though. It could be 80's and humid, or jacket weather.

For what it's worth, last Memorial Day weekend was spectacular low/mid 70's and crisp. I remember this because my kids insisted on going to the pool; while it was gorgeous outside, twas a bit chilly in the pool....

As a native Virginian, let me say, it'll be lovely! No humidity, compared to July. Nice and warm, compared to January. Cool enough, compared to August. Shorts and T-shirts -- ahhh, can't wait!

sg - I remember that weekend. It was fabulous. I wanted to stay outside the entire time.
