Williamsburg - Inexpensive accomodations
I'm interested in an inexpensive but decent place to stay in Williamsburg area. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you mean by inexpensive. I would recommend the Woodland Suites. You can get 4 people to a suite and it is right next to the visitor center and the buses into the site. A few years ago a suite was just over $100. I'm sure that has changed, but the convenience can't be beat.

I agree - The Woodlands was a great place to stay. Since it is part of Colonial Williamsburg you can get a great package. The last time we went it included breakfast at any Williamsburg site. We had a wonderful breakfast at Shield's Tavern one morning - the rest at the Cascades which is right at the Woodlands - big buffet breakfast. They also have a pool and a little mini golf area in the woods. We didn't have to drive at all since the bus picked us up right there. Check out the web site.

There are a bunch of chain hotels clustered together not too far from Williamsburg. They're all fairly decent, as far as chain hotels and motels go.

We stayed at the Princess Anne last December when we visited Williamsburg. We were very happy with it. The rooms are decorated nicely and a continental breakfast was included.
http://www.theprincessanne.com/bed-breakfast.html

There is a nice ramada near the restoration. Indoor pool, clean, under 100.
