Williamsburg Amtrak Station

Just wondering where the Williamsburg (VA) Amtrak station is located in relation to Colonial Williamsburg?

Very close, walking distance.
If you locate CW, find the western most section of the historic area. Then see Merchants Square, another block or two west of that, on Duke of Gloucester Street. Now locate W&M College, across the street, with Richmond Rd heading west. A street heading north from that intersection, Boundery St, runs about 6 short blocks to the "Transportation Center". The closest hotel to the station is the Governors Inn (a Col. Wburg property), just 1 block (as the crow flies) away, on Henry Street, a N-S street which cuts right thru Merchants Square. Next closest would be Hospitality House. Other hotels I've walked to from the Amtrak station are Days Inn (702 Richmond Rd?) and Super8 (1221 Richmond Rd? @ Lafayette). Glad to answer any other questions I can. (there is no X in my REAL eddress)

And it's one of the few places you can catch a cab in Williamsburg.
