Dear Sarah, <BR>Stayed at the Williams Inn several years ago. It is very nice, just at the edge of the village of Williamstown, but an easy walk to the village center. We ate at the Inn, very good food, but did not eat any place else while there so cannot comment on restaurants in the area.

Sarah--the Inn has a pool (actually, 2-indoor and outdoor, I believe) so bring your bathing suit! Not sure if you will have a car while you are there, but I assume so. However, it is only a short stroll (about 3 blocks) down to the main center of Williamstown--Spring St., where the shopping and restaurants are (as well as Water St., one street over), so if the weather is nice, I recommend walking. The Inn has breakfasts, and a huge buffet on Sundays (maybe Sat. too) that will fill you up all day, and is a little pricy, but is supposed to be nice. There is also a bakery on Spring St. (don't remember the name) and a coffee place that is very nice (Cold Springs Coffee). The coffee place has breakfast pasteries, etc. For lunch, it depends what you are looking for. There is a nice place to get very good sandwiches, pasta salads, soups, etc. at the end of Spring St. called Berkshire Hill market. There is also Papa Charlie's on Spring Street, that has warm bagels, tons of sandwiches, soups, and some Greek options. For dinner, go to Mezze on Water St., or Chopsticks Sushi and chinese (about a 3 minute drive). There is also Main Street Cafe for upscale Italian, and a Subway for a quick bite. Any other questions, just email me!

I highly recommend the Main Street Cafe (and in a shameless plug, I have to admit that my cousin owns it).

The Williams Inn is very nice and right across the street from Williams College. I also heard great things about Main Street Cafe.
