Wildfires utah

Hello,
What is the wildfire situation in southern Utah currently? Do they typically abate by mid-late October? We've been planning a trip to Zion, Bryce and surrounding areas, but am a bit concerned.

Plan A is to fly into Vegas and drive to the parks for about a week.

Thank you.

We are in Moab right now and scheduled to be at Bryce and Zion early next week. I'll report on the situation there in a few days.

Sky here was very hazy yesterday as a result of smoke from wildfires but today they are much clearer. Activities in Canyonlands and Arches seems to be "business as usual".

Impossible to predict what Mother Nature has in store for mid-to late October.

Thank you for the update. I'll keep monitoring the area before we make a final decision. We've been on the fence all summer.

Cheers

It's hazy and the air is gross is northern Utah. We are supposed to get rain to clear it out. Fires usually are an issue in August and September. They seem to abate by October. But who knows??

Thanks so much for your replies. Guess I'll keep watching and see what happens.

Northern Utah air has cleared up significantly as of last night. Not completely, but there are blues skies, clouds, and sun! Everyone is back outside cycling and hiking.

Just left Bryce and now in Zion - skies are clear and strikingly deep blue. Some slight haze limiting views far off on the horizon.
