WICKED TICKETS BEST Seats for Gershwin Theater

This is our first trip to NYC, and I want to make this show fabulous for my daughter's first Broadway experience!

I've done research on the boards, but can you all clarify for me?

Would your first choice be Center seats, everytime? In other words, I can choose between ORCH Row O, center, or I can choose Front Mezzanine to the left side, Row A. OR I can choose Row G, but closer to the wall on the left side.

Thanks for answering my questions!(Which never seem to end).

Tammy

I do not find a lot of major advantage to be centered in the theatre, but of course, I don't like to be so far to the side that it causes a "skewed" view of the action or choreography either. Normally for most musicals I grab at front row Mezzanine. But in the Gershwin, that's really a long way back. Front row mezzanine would still be excellent seats, and I wouldn't hestitate when they are to the sides -- at that distance it makes little difference if you are centered or not. On the other hand, unless those row G seats are almost against the wall rather than being say in the middle of the side section, I'd probably take those -- I like being close because facial expressions are important to me.

I do like to be up close, too! The G seats are 21-23, so they're very close to the wall, I gather. Oh heavens, I have the WORST time making a decision!
SOOOO, what would you do?!
Thanks,
Tammy

Yes, those ARE very close to the wall and a strong angle, possibly cutting out some view.

I'd go for the front row mezzanine! It's actually a little closer than Orchestra Row O and would be super seats. Do it.

I just saw Wicked last night, but in Chicago. I got one of those up close but far to the left seats, E13. It was fine but I would have preferred to be more centered. I can't complain; I got the tickets the night before the show and nothing else was available. Have a great time!
